The Canopy wireless broadband technology provides reliable, scalable and secure high speed internet access and private network interconnection. Suitable for delivering data, voice and video to enterprises, government agencies, municipalities, schools etc, it is made up of several building blocks, consisting of Access Points (AP), Subscriber Modules (SM) and the Cluster Management Module (CMM).
The Canopy® system is the ideal technology for developing, enhancing and extending advanced broadband networks and services - and for making delivery of high-demand technologies like Internet access, voice over IP, video services, and security surveillance both much quicker and much less expensive.
Canopy broadband technology combines field-proven toughness with exceptional performance, security, ease-of-use and cost effectiveness. Available in frequencies from 900 MHz to 5 GHz, Canopy systems can be designed to make your business case a success.
Canopy Advantage Platform
The Canopy Advantage platform is built on field-proven Canopy technology with the following enhancements:
- Higher Performance
Reduces latency from approximately 20 ms to 5 to 7 ms.
- Faster Speeds
Essentially doubles throughput of a Canopy subscriber module (SM). It delivers data rates in excess of today's DSL and cable networks of 7 Mbps. With the new Canopy Advantage SM, the throughput doubles yet again to 14 Mbps to a single user.
- True Quality of Service
Enables operators to provide differentiated levels of service using Committed Information Rate (CIR) and Maximum Information Rate (MIR).
- Comprehensive Multi-Services Platform
An ATM frame structure uses small frame sizes that reduce retransmission times and provide for low latency - a critical component for delivering high quality services such as VoIP and online gaming.

Canopy Lite Platform
The Canopy™ Lite SMs work in concert with the Canopy Advantage Access Points and deliver speeds of 512 Kbps throughput with 768 kbits burst and a maximum of 100 Kbps full duplex Committed Information Rate (CIR). These SMs offer substantially lower costs with the same high performance, reliability and interference tolerance for which the Canopy systems are renowned.
Easily integrated into your Canopy network, Canopy™ Lite SMs are highly scaleable and available in the 2.4, 5.2, 5.4 and 5.7 GHz frequency bands. In addition, they can be software upgraded to add incremental throughput (to 1, 2, 4 or 7 Mbps) quickly and economically.

Canopy 500 Series Wireless Broadband Access Network Platform
3.5 GHz license holders can deploy proven reliable OFDM based wireless access networks that support data transfer, video surveillance and voice applications. The 500 Series is a fixed, outdoor high throughput solution that is easy to install and very cost effective.

Point-to-Multipoint 430
The new PMP 430 operates in the 5.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz frequency bands and is equipped with OFDM technology to deliver outstanding throughput, long range and line of sight (LOS) and near-line of sight (nLOS) performance for reliable and secure data, voice and video connectivity.
Canopy 400 Series
This series of Canopy Access Points and Subscriber Modules provide enterprises, municipalities and service providers with a powerful, cost-effective solution for reaching previously unreachable users and subscribers. Additional benefits include:
The Canopy 400 Series uses powerful OFDM technology to deliver exceptional nLOS/NLOS coverage with solutions that are able to penetrate foliage and reach around buildings and other obstructions.
The Canopy 400 Series delivers enhanced throughput of up to 21 Mbps supporting today's most in-demand — but bandwidth-intensive — applications such as Voice Over Internet Protocol, video surveillance, high-speed Internet access, multiple voice connections, and many more.
The Canopy 400 Series extends network connectivity ranges to distances of five miles (eight kilometers) or more per AP cluster; facilitated by higher gain antennas, rate adaptive modulation schemes and longer cyclic prefixes.
For current Canopy users, the 400 Series' cost-effectiveness is driven by its ability to co-locate with other Canopy equipment to provide either network extension or a network overlay. For new operators, the system provides a globally proven all-outdoor solution, with reduced power consumption, fast, simple deployment, high reliability and low-cost ongoing operation.
